Armed Security Guards
State-permitted armed officers for the sites where the risk is real.
Some properties cannot be protected by presence alone. When you are moving cash, storing high-value inventory, or operating in an area with a history of armed robbery, you need an officer who is trained, permitted, and prepared to stop a serious threat before it reaches your people.
Every armed officer we assign holds a current California Guard Card and a BSIS exposed-firearm permit, and requalifies on schedule. We do not treat an armed post as an upgraded unarmed post. It is a different assignment with different training, different reporting, and a supervisor who checks it.
What is included
- Officers holding a valid BSIS exposed-firearm permit and current Guard Card
- Scheduled firearm requalification and documented range records
- Post orders written for your specific site, not a generic template
- Use-of-force and de-escalation training reviewed at every assignment
- Written daily activity reports and immediate incident notification
- Supervisor spot checks around the clock, including nights and weekends

In Practice
Why the permit matters more than the uniform
In California, carrying a firearm on a security post requires more than a Guard Card. The officer must hold a separate exposed-firearm permit issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, tied to the specific weapon category they carry, and must requalify at set intervals. A company that blurs that line is exposing you to liability that lands on your property, not theirs.
We keep permit and requalification records for every armed officer on our roster and will show them to you on request. If you are comparing bids, ask every company you are talking to for the same thing. The answer tells you a great deal.
We also make an honest recommendation about whether you need armed coverage at all. For many sites, a visible unarmed officer paired with marked patrol coverage deters more effectively at a lower cost. We would rather place the right officer than the more expensive one.
