Why Experts Protection
The difference is supervision
Almost every security company promises trained, licensed, professional officers. The gap between companies is not the promise. It is whether anybody checks.
A licensed operator, not a broker
We hold California Private Patrol Operator license PPO 122783 and staff every post with our own officers. You are not being handed off to a subcontractor you never agreed to.
Supervisors who actually show up
Every post gets unannounced supervisor checks around the clock. If an officer is off-position or asleep, we catch it before you do, and we tell you.
Reports you receive, not reports we file
Written daily activity reports come to you. Mobile patrol stops are GPS-verified and timestamped, so the record shows where the officer stood and when.
An honest recommendation first
If a marked patrol will protect your property better than a standing armed post, we will say so, even though it is the smaller invoice. Wrong coverage helps nobody.
On Post
Our officers in the field
Uniformed, briefed on your site, and supervised. These are our own officers on real assignments across Los Angeles County.

How It Works
Coverage in three steps
No drawn-out sales process. Most clients go from first call to officers on site within a few days.
- 01
Call and tell us the situation
One phone call, about ten minutes. The address, what you are protecting, the hours you are worried about, and anything that has already happened.
- 02
We walk the site
For most properties we come out and look before quoting. It takes about twenty minutes, it costs nothing, and it is the only way to write post orders that fit your building.
- 03
Coverage starts
You get a written quote and a certificate of insurance. Once you approve, standard posts typically begin within 24 to 72 hours. Fire watch goes same day.

Common Questions
Straight answers
The questions we get asked most often, answered without the sales language.
Are you licensed by the State of California?
Yes. Experts Protection Security Inc. holds Private Patrol Operator license PPO 122783, issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services and valid through June 30, 2028. Our license is posted in our Chatsworth office as required, and the number appears in the footer of every page on this site. You can verify any California security license directly through the BSIS license lookup.
What areas do you cover?
We cover Southern California from the San Fernando Valley through Los Angeles and Orange County down to San Diego. Our office is in Chatsworth and our California Private Patrol Operator license is valid statewide, so we can staff a post anywhere in California. Heaviest day-to-day coverage is across Los Angeles County. If you are outside our normal range, call us anyway and we will tell you honestly whether we can staff it properly.
How quickly can you start?
For standard posts we can usually begin within 24 to 72 hours once the agreement is signed and we have walked the site. Fire watch is treated as urgent and we dispatch same day whenever we have an available officer. Emergency and short-notice coverage is worth a phone call regardless of the timeline.
What is the difference between an armed and an unarmed guard?
An unarmed officer holds a California Guard Card. An armed officer holds that plus a separate BSIS exposed-firearm permit tied to the weapon category they carry, and must requalify on a set schedule. Armed coverage costs more and is not right for every site. For many properties a visible unarmed officer combined with patrol coverage deters more effectively at lower cost, and we will tell you when that is the case.
